Jaron Browning, MA, LPC

Welcome! I'm Jaron (he/him/his). I'm a local who grew up right here in central Texas. I've always been fascinated by people; I've always loved learning what makes someone tick, what experiences have shaped them into who they are, and who or what has inspired them to change. So, starting in high school, I knew I wanted to be a mental health professional. I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and History. After that I took a few years off from the academic world to gain some work experience and just live life away from classes and assignments. I then attended Texas State University and graduated with a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling.

 

My professional experience includes working in a college counseling center (I love working with college students!), a community mental health clinic, a local non-profit agency, and a group practice specializing in couples and relationships.

When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, getting some fresh air outdoors, exercising at the gym, eating unhealthy foods, reading books, and watching entirely too much TV.
